Author's Notes about the Carving.
The Butternut plaque pivots on a 3"x 5" Bloodwood base to show the chip carved design on each side. I used same pattern but I changed the areas which I cut out, and thus the whole picture.
I stained the plaque a brown mahogany with a Deft clear satin finish.
About the Carver.
I have been chip carving for 6 years and have been wanting to carve a Green Man but wasn't inspired until I found Chris Pye's website, and then I wanted to create something different.
