Author's Notes about the Carving.

I stained my greenman and also used a touch of acrylic paint. I coated the carving with a light coat of polyurethane to protect the wood from the elements. For now his home is on the wall but he may also get some outside time.

About the carver:

I live in Pennsylvania and have been carving since December 2008, being so new I have plenty to learn.
My carvings are done as a hobby andd I love carving the greenman. I came across Chris Pye's site and was immediately impressed with the quality of the Green Man carvings and wanted to try one myself. I plan on doing more greenman carvings in the future.

Would you like to contribute an interesting, contemporary, Green Man (gargoyles, grotesque etc) woodcarving?
Or have you a friend you could encourage to have their work shown?
Yes? Then I'd love to here from you!

Write to me, telling me a little about it first.
Thanks!
