Author's Notes about the Carving.

I started carving in spring 2001, my wife had given me tuition as a gift. Well, early in summer 2002.

I began a new project, a Greenman. I don't recall where I first saw one or when I decided to try one.
The idea of a face emerging from leaves was very interesting. That is when a friend at the carving class told me about your website.

Took awhile, it was a good challenge for me and am happy with the result.
It was finished with a light stain and medium dark wax.

Of course I have to thank my teacher Jerry, and everyone at wednesday night woodcarving class for their help and encouragement.

Would you like to contribute an interesting, contemporary, Green Man (gargoyles, grotesque etc) woodcarving?
Or have you a friend you could encourage to have their work shown?
Yes? Then I'd love to here from you!

Write to me, telling me a little about it first.
Thanks!
