1  Woodcarving Instruction USA

For the 13th year I'm instructing in woodcarving and sculpture at the wonderful Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, Rockport, Maine.

At the moment of writing there are still a few vacancies in the 2 week Intermediate class: June 29 - July 10:

Why not join me for and the other committed carvers for a really interesting and challenging opportunity to improve your woodcarving skills?

Everyone in the class brings along one or more of their own projects to work through under my supervision and, by demonstrating or perhaps giving you exercises to improve a certain skill, I help you with the woodcarving process, from designing to techniques: whatever you need.
Past projects have ranged from carousel horse to lettering, and architectural carving to Green Men

Additionally, you are working in the context of the class as a whole, so you get to see other carvers at work, other problems and successes.

You'll find the class very inspiring and encouraging. 2 weeks is a good length of time to really get into your carving and take home increased confidence and competence.

PS: One for the Bench:

"If you want to understand the causes made in the past, look at the results as they are manifest in the present.
And if you want to know what results will be manifest in the future, look at the causes that exist in the present.

The reality of your future self is forged by current action, in your behavior now."

           ~ Daisaku Ikeda
