This has become a bit of a classic textbook on the structure and depiction of the human form.
It is full of technical information, drawings and photographs that are clear and easy to understand.
Although the poses are straightforward and simple, you get all the basics from which to work: bones, muscles; the physics of how the body: its build and movement; its growth, aging, weight changes and racial characteristics.

So, an excellent reference for woodcarvers interested in the human figure - but with an extra bonus!
The drawings often refer to the photographs, with little notes to guide you to getting things right. I don't know another anatomy book which does this; it's like listening to the author muttering to himself as he draws.

This is a book I'd strongly recommend for your shelves.
